A. Willi Petersen

A. Willi Petersen (born March 29, 1949 - † August 6, 2018 ) was a German business educator and university professor . He played a key role in setting up the vocational training institute for work and technology at the University of Flensburg.

Life

A. Willi Petersen studied electrical engineering / communications engineering at the University of Kassel from 1971 to 1974 and graduated with a degree in engineering. He then studied vocational education, electrical engineering and mathematics for teaching at vocational schools at the same university. In 1977 he passed the first state examination and, after his legal clerkship, the second state examination followed in 1979. He then taught as a senior lecturer at vocational schools in Kassel and Witzenhausen . In 1986 he moved to the University of Kassel as a teaching and research assistant. In 1991 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. with the work in- company advanced training in the context of new technologies and moved to the University of Bremen . As a university lecturer for research and teaching in the field of electrical engineering, he returned to the University of Kassel in 1995, before becoming professor for the field of electrical engineering at the University of Flensburg in 1997 .

In 2017 he was awarded the Dr. hc from Danubius University , a private university in Galați , Romania . In 2015 he was appointed professor at the Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences in Beijing .
