Career

society

Hafner began his career with his hometown club SK St. Andrä , where he started playing football in 1999. In 2007 he moved to the youth department of SK Austria Kärnten , which he left after its bankruptcy in 2010 for Wolfsberger AC . After a short interlude in Wolfsberg , he was signed by the amateurs of FC Wacker Innsbruck .

In 2012/13 he was brought into the first team squad. The defender made his debut in the top Austrian league on December 1, 2012 against his former club Wolfsberger AC under coach Roland Kirchler . Hafner came on in the 54th minute for the Spaniard Carlos Merino González . The game in the Wolfsberger Lavanttal Arena ended in a 2-2 draw.

In January 2013 Hafner switched to the second highest Austrian league on loan to SV Grödig . There he was able to achieve the championship title in the second highest division in Austria.

In the summer of 2013 he terminated his contract in Innsbruck and returned to his homeland, where he was under contract with the amateurs of Wolfsberger AC for a year. Then he moved to the Carinthian League for FC St. Michael / L. Before the club was relegated to the Lower League East , Hafner moved to ASCO ATSV Wolfsberg in winter 2016/17 , where he was able to celebrate promotion to the Regional League Middle . After a season in which he was able to score three goals, but his club had to relegate, he was drawn to the regional division SK Austria Klagenfurt . A highlight in the first autumn season at the new club was the 2-2 draw against league leaders SV Lafnitz , against whom he scored a brace in just three minutes. At the end of the season he was promoted to the 2nd division with Austria.

After promotion, he returned to the fourth-class ASCO ATSV Wolfsberg for the 2018/19 season. There he was not used for health reasons and at the end of this season he switched to the second team of SK Austria Klagenfurt. In the first championship game of the 2019/20 season, he was still used by coach Christian Sablatnig . Then he began to work in the management of the club and withdrew from active sports.
