Fabian Passamonte

Fabian Joest Passamonte (born July 10, 1973 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actor, director, author and producer.

Life

Fabian Joest Passamonte grew up in the Taunus. His father was German and his mother is Argentinian. From 1998 to 2000 Passamonte lived in New York , where he trained as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute and at the HB Studio. Fabian Joest Passamonte later studied Meisner technique at the Actors Space in Berlin with Mike Bernardin.

After working at theaters with stops in New York, Barcelona, ​​Hamburg and Berlin, Joest Passamonte joined the film collective “Co / Ma” of the filmmaker Mike Figgis .

In 2007 Passamonte founded the “Saloon” together with Heiko Pinkowski in the rehearsal room of the Engelbrot Theater in Moabit. Here, actors and directors improvised a western saloon in weekly jam sessions. Some of the central figures of today's improfile scene in Berlin played together there: Tom Lass , Peter Trabner , Rosalie Thomass , Thomas Fränzel , Fabian Joest Passamonte and Heiko Pinkowski.

In 2012 Passamonte founded the “Eyduna Ensemble” with a group of actors and directors (founding members: Karin Hanczewski , Ina Maria Jaich, Kristin Suckow , Merlin Leonhardt , Jakob Creutzburg, Moritz Leu , Martin Zillmann and Denise Ankel), which is based in Berlin-Kreuzberg in regularly rehearses and plays in a studio at Kottbusser Tor. With parts of the ensemble he made his feature film debut as a director in 2014, the improvised feature film "UMP". The film was shot according to the FOGMA premises.

From 2011 to 2013 Passamonte was on stage at the Ballhaus Naunynstraße theater in Berlin, directed by Züli Aladag . Among other things, he was in the theater park “Paragraph 301 - The Offended Nation” in the play “Neden? (Why?) ”.

In 2015 Passamonte developed the film project “Circus Fuck Polite” together with the artist Esra Rotthoff and the Eyduna Ensemble.

In 2016 he starred in the ZDF film "A Summer on Lanzarote" by Jophi Ries . In the same year he got a role in the movie "Defective Copy" by Laura Lackmann , which is based on Sarah Kuttner 's novel of the same name .

Since 2000 he has lived in Berlin and temporarily in Spain on the Balearic island of Mallorca.
