Fabiana denudata is a plant type from the genus Fabiana in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

description

Fabiana denudata is a shrub with a height of 0.5 to 1 (rarely 0.4 to 1.2) meters. The roots are gem-forming . The stems are greenish, flexible and devoid of leaves or covered with reduced, scale-shaped leaves .

The flowers are sessile or stand on short flower stalks at the ends of main and short shoots, rarely they are also in groups on the main shoots. The calyx is 6 to 8 (rarely 4 to 10) millimeters long, the calyx tube is cylindrical and twice as long as the triangular calyx lobes. The crown is funnel-shaped and 13 to 17 (rarely up to 20) millimeters long. The stamens are of different shapes, the anthers are 1 to 1.2 millimeters long and 0.7 to 0.9 millimeters wide, the counters are separated. The scar is saddle-shaped and easily split.

The fruit is a capsule with a length of 5 to 7 millimeters. The seeds are 1.6 × 0.5 × 0.4 millimeters in size.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.

distribution

The species is distributed in the north of Chile in the province of Antofagasta , as well as in Argentina in the provinces of Catamarca , La Rioja , in the north and south of San Juan , and in Mendoza .
