Fábio Luciano (born April 29, 1975 in Vinhedo ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .
Athletic career
He began his professional career in 1996 with the Brazilian second division club AA Ponte Preta , for whom he played until the 1999 season. He then moved to São Paulo to Corinthians , where he came to 17 missions in his first season. In 2001 Luciano went on loan to SC Internacional in Porto Alegre for a year . After two more years at Sport Club Corinthians, the central defender was loaned out to Europe for three years at Fenerbahçe Istanbul . Although the Turks had a purchase option, they did not take it after a long injury that he sustained during preparatory training in July 2006.
After six months in which he kept fit with the Uruguayan club Rentistas Montevideo , he was loaned to the German second division club 1. FC Köln on January 12, 2007 until July 30, 2007. His coach there was Christoph Daum , with whom he had already worked in Istanbul. After only three months, however, his contract in the cathedral city was canceled again at his request, whereupon Luciano signed a contract with the traditional Brazilian club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro on August 2, 2007 , which tied him to the club until December 31, 2009.
On June 11, 2003, Luciano came to his only appearance in the Brazilian national team . In the friendly against Nigeria , he came on for Juan in the 86th minute .
