The rentistas (nicknamed Bichos colorado , Bicheros ) is a football club from the neighborhood Cerrito de la Victoria in Montevideo in Uruguay . The club's soccer team plays in the second highest Uruguayan league, the Segunda División , in the 2016 season .
history
The association was founded on March 26, 1933. In 1949, 1957 and 1963 the club was each champion in the Divisional Extra . 1966 won the championship title in the Divisional Intermedia ("C"). In 1971 they were first champions of the Segunda División and rose to the highest Uruguayan league, the Primera División. In the following years the club achieved the best placements in 1973 and 1977 with a 5th place in the final table. 1980 you ended the season as table-14. and thus last and dismounted. It was not until 1988 that the return to Uruguay's top division was achieved with the second division championship. While in the first two seasons with the ninth place a placement in the middle of the table succeeded, in 1991 they narrowly avoided relegation. In the following year, however, as the penultimate of the final table on the side of Central Español had to start again in the House of Commons. In 1996 the club won another second division championship title. This resulted in renewed promotion to the Primera División . The best placement in the club's history was achieved there in 1998 when they qualified for the Copa Conmebol as second in the Torneo Clausura and fourth in the overall table of the Uruguayan championship . Another relegation was followed by winning the fourth second division championship in the club's history at the end of the 2010/11 season, again returning to Uruguay's upper house for the 2011/12 season. Again, however, the class could not be kept. At the end of the 2012/13 season, under the direction of coach Adolfo Barán , who has been in charge since July 2012, in the club's 24th second division season on June 29, 2013 with a 3-0 win over Miramar Misiones , they secured their first division participation in the 2013 season / 14. After completing the Apertura 2013, they finished fifth there. In the Clausura 2014 you finished eleventh. In the annual overall table for the 2013/14 season , the club ranked 6th. This qualified for participation in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 .
After the contract extension with Barán and his coaching staff consisting of Fernando "Topo" Rosa, Gabriel Da Silva and Nicolás Barlocco, the 2014/15 season continued after the end of May 2014. In the Copa Sudamericana they failed in the first round at Club Cerro Porteño from Paraguay . In December 2014, Barán was replaced by Manuel Keosseián . The season ended in 13th place in the overall annual table.
