Fabrica Nacional de Automoviles SA was a Mexican manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Monterrey company began manufacturing automobiles in 1967 after Impulsora Mexicana Automotriz SA , headed by Enrique Strauss , acquired Borgward production facilities in 1963 . The brand name was Borgward . Production ended in 1970. A total of 2267 vehicles were built.

The only model 230 largely corresponded to the Borgward P 100 . However, the air suspension was dispensed with. The vehicles were powered by a six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2240 cm³ .

There were plans to manufacture the Borgward Isabella and offer it as an Aztec , but the plans were not realized.
