Fabrizia Sacchi (born February 10, 1971 in Naples ) is an Italian actress .

life and career

Fabrizia Sacchi studied acting at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico in Rome. She had her first film role in 1990 in Tracce di vita amorosa by Peter Del Monte , who was nominated for the Golden Lion in Venice . In 1990, she starred alongside Tilda Swinton in Guadagnino's first feature film The Protagonists , and in fact herself as Fabrizia Sacchi. For their performance in Paz! (2002) by Renato De Maria she was awarded the Golden Ciak Award for best supporting actress. In 2003 she again played roles in films by Guadagnino, the documentary Mundo Civilizado and in 2005 in Melissa P. - With Closed Eyes . Suspiria (2018) is the fifth film that she has directed with Guadagnino.

From 2010 to the present, she has played roles in several Italian television films and series.

In 2010, the Latvian director Alvis Hermanis staged the play "Le Signorine di Wilko" based on the novel of the same name by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz , in which Sacchi played a role and which was shown on several Italian stages, as part of the European theater network Progetto Prospero . In 2013 she appeared in Milan and Florence as Lisette in Marivaux 's comedy The Game of Love and Chance . The following year she played the leading role in Antonio Tarantino's play Stabat mater at the Teatro I in Milan .

At the Venice Film Festival 2018 she was represented with four films: with Suspiria , with an episode of the television series Amica geniale by Saverio Costanzo, in the low-budget film Zen - sul ghiaccio sottile by Margherita Ferri and as a narrator in the animated film Sugarlove by Laura Luchetti.
