Fabrizio Ottaviucci

Fabrizio Ottaviucci is an Italian pianist who has also made a name for himself in the field of intuitive music .

Life

Fabrizio Ottaviucci studied composition and electronic music with Fausto Razzi and Walter Branchi as well as piano with Paola Mariotti at the Conservatory of Pesaro and completed his training with Tamás Vásáry . He gives concerts in Italy, Austria, Germany and England and toured the USA, Canada and India.

He won prizes in numerous competitions with the classical-romantic solo repertoire for the piano. His main focus, however, is contemporary and experimental music. He studied piano works with composers such as Giacinto Scelsi , Fausto Razzi , Fernando Mencherini and Tonino Tesei and worked with musicians such as Rohan de Saram , Mario Caroli , Stefano Scodanibbio , Daniele Roccato , Manuel Zurria , Francesco Dillon , Aldo Campagnari , Tara Bouman , Mike Svoboda and Mario Caroli. Since 1986 he has been working regularly with Markus Stockhausen , a. a. in the Possible Worlds Orchestra and with the Duo Moving Sounds . In the field of experimental music he performs with the jazz musician Gary Peacock , with Robyn Schulkowsky , Paolo Giaro , Mark Nauseef and Chris Bauer . Ottaviucci lives in Assisi , where he is the director of the Intuitive Music workshop . He can also be heard on albums with works by Sofia Gubaidulina , Galina Ustvolskaja , John Cage and Giacinto Scelsi.
