Fabrizio Cardinal Turriozzi

Fabrizio Turriozzi (born November 16, 1755 in Toscanella , † November 9, 1826 in Rome ) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Church .

Life

He came from a noble family and was the son of Count Turriozzi. He completed his first studies at the seminary of Montefiascone and then studied theology and law at the La Sapienza University in Rome . In 1798 he took of representing the Papal States in the conference of Rastatt. In 1801 he was appointed papal secret chamberlain and on September 28 of the same year he was appointed house prelate of His Holiness . On April 2, 1802 he was a trainee lawyer at the tribunals of the Apostolic Signature .

Pope Pius VII appointed him cardinal priest in the consistory of March 10, 1823 and awarded him the titular church of Santa Maria in Aracoeli on May 16 of the same year . As a cardinal he took part in the conclave of 1823 , which Pope Leo XII. chose.
