Half-timbered church Wartha
The Protestant half-timbered church Wartha is a listed branch church in the Wartha district of the city of Eisenach in Thuringia . It is the oldest and, with a floor area of 10 by 5.8 meters, also the smallest half-timbered church in Thuringia.

According to the former weather vane, the church was built in 1586.
When the Warthaer Werra Bridge was blown up on April 1, 1945, the pressure wave destroyed the centuries-old windows of the church. They were replaced by new stained glass windows in 1954 . The church was designated as a cultural monument in 1979 and included in the list of monuments of the then Eisenach district .
Construction
The structure was erected in a column construction. For the inclined, crossing wall struts on the outside, mostly curved tree trunks were used. Inside, the rectangular hall is equipped with single-storey galleries on the north and west sides and a flat ceiling. The galleries can be reached via a staircase in a porch, which is built on the northern eaves side in half-timbered construction. In the middle of the interior there is an ornate wooden pillar that supports the joists of the ceiling and the gallery.
Furnishing
The eight-sided baptismal font of the church dates from 1587, the bronze bell in the roof tower on the east side of the church from the 16th century. Behind the altar there are two pointed arched windows decorated with stained glass and lead in the Art Deco style. Between the windows is a carved wood crucifix from the 17th century. The organ , built by the Knauf company in the classical style around 1846 , was restored in 2000.

A model of the church has been in the mini-a-thür amusement park in Ruhla since 2014 .
