The Fahnestock Glacier is a 50 km long glacier in Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . On the Saunders coast , it flows into the Sulzberger Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2003 after Mark A. Fahnestock (* 1962) from the University of New Hampshire , who had carried out glaciological studies in theory and practice in Greenland and on the ice flows in West Antarctica since the 1980s .
