Fahrettin Genç (born February 4, 1953 in Bafra ) is a Turkish football coach.

Coaching career

Genç started his coaching career as head coach in 1983 at the then Turkish first division club Samsunspor . He then took over the club for two games on an interim basis and later became an interim coach three more times. He coached Adıyamanspor and Ünyespor from 1987 and returned to Samsunspor in 1989 as a full head coach. At the end of the 1990/91 season rose with the then second division as champions of the TFF 1. Lig in the highest Turkish league, the Süper Lig . After this success he left the club and coached several clubs in the TFF 2nd Lig and TFF 1st Lig, mainly from the Black Sea region .

From the summer of 2010 he was employed in various positions at the then second division club Güngören Belediyespor . First he trained the reserve team here and then took over the post of youth coordinator. In the summer of 2011 he became the head coach of the professional team. With his team he did not have a good start to the season, so that the club slipped to the relegation places at the beginning of the season and could not work its way up again. As a consequence, Genç left the club in October 2011.
