Fait d'hiver is a Belgian short film directed by Dirk Beliën in 2001.
action
Tim is stuck in traffic in Antwerp on his way to work in the snowy winter . Annoyed, he tries to pass the time. He tests his new cell phone and calls home. His daughter answers the phone and, when asked where the mother is, replies that mother is in the bedroom with Uncle Wim. Tim doesn't know Uncle Wim and suspects that his wife is cheating on him. He gives his daughter instructions. Shortly afterwards the girl comes back on the phone. She tells what happened: As the father said, she went to the bedroom and called for the father to come home. The mother then fled naked into the bathroom and slipped on the tiles. She fell so unhappy that she died as a result. Uncle Wim, on the other hand, stumbled on his escape in the living room and broke through the window, fell into the depths and was killed when he fell into the frozen swimming pool. Tim is taken aback by the girl's story - he doesn't have a pool and is horrified to find that he has made the wrong number.
