The Fakfa Peninsula is a peninsula at the western end of the island of New Guinea .
geography
The Fakfak Peninsula forms the northwest tip of the Bomberai Peninsula . It separates the Berau Bay and the Tamaruni Bay in the southwest. The Fakfak Mountains form the back of the peninsula . The main town is Fakfak on the south coast. It is also the administrative seat of the Indonesian administrative district of Fakfak ( Papua Barat Province ), to which the peninsula belongs.
fauna
The fauna of the Fakfak Mountains includes the black-eared bower bird and Oninia senglaubi , a member of the narrow-mouthed frog family.
