Falk Schettler

Falk Schettler (born February 7, 1968 in Schwerin ) is a German music journalist .

Life

After his apprenticeship as a skilled worker for data processing at DVZ Schwerin , Schettler mainly worked as a musician. He was a co-founder of the Schwerin band Einriss , but also played as a guest among others in 1988 with Feeling B during the filming of Whispering and Screaming . In 1992 he founded the label Kessel Records , with which he released the album Saddle Up of the Schwerin music project First Ass in the same year ; During the album production, the project included the current Rammstein musicians Till Lindemann , Richard Z. Kruspe and as a guestPaul Landers . Schettler designed the radio program Röhrenradio from 1993 to 1998 and later worked as an author and producer for NDR television .

In 1996 Schettler founded the label TOASTER and released two singles from the dance project Shazam from Wismar. The first single No Guarantee , released by Intercord , could not establish itself in the German charts . In 1996, Shazam became the transmitter's antenna MV conveyor belt . Intercord could not decide to re-release, so Schettler quickly acquired the license and re-released the single. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania alone, the sound carrier sold almost 3,000 times.

During his radio years, Falk Schettler was also a juror for the John Lennon Talent Award . Since 2004, Schettler has primarily worked as a filmmaker and author. In the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2016 , he was the top candidate for the AfD spin-off Alliance for Progress and Awakening .
