The group of falcons from the southwest |
The Falkengruppe is a mountain group in the Karwendel , which lies in front of the northern Karwendel range to the east. In the south it connects the Spielissjoch ( 1773 m above sea level ) with the Hinterautal-Vomper chain . The highest peak in the group is the Laliderer Falk ( 2427 m above sea level ).
The only higher summit of the Falkengruppe that can be reached without difficult climbing is the Steinfalk (over the south ridge, places I). The easiest ascents to the other peaks are mostly II routes. With the exception of Steinfalk – Mahnkopf, the transitions between the individual peaks are always connected with climbing in the II to IV degrees. The Falkenkar surrounded by the group of falcons ends in the Grüner Rinnscharte, which serves as the starting point for the ascent of the Risser Falken and the transition from the Falkenkar to the Steinfalk. The Falkenhütte is particularly suitable as a base for tours in the Falkengruppe .
