The Fannaråki (or Fannaråken ) is a mountain in the municipality Luster in the province Vestland in Norway . The 2068 m high mountain is located in the Jotunheimen National Park and lies south of the Prestesteinsvatnet lake and the Sognefjellsveien pass road . The mountain is located six kilometers north of the Styggedals- og Skagastølsryggen mountain range .
Fannaråki is located in the polar tundra climate ( Köppen : ET ). The long-term mean the average annual temperature is −4.34 ° C, the average monthly temperatures over the course of the year are between −10.00 ° C and 3.09 ° C.
The name is derived from the Norwegian words fonn (snow glacier ) and råk (mountain range).
