Fanny Maria Alving (* October 23, 1874 as Fanny Maria Lönn in Ytterselö , Södermanland ; † June 2, 1955 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish writer . She also published her novels and poems under the name Fanny Norrman and the pseudonyms Ulrik Uhland and Maja X.

Life

Alving's parents were the captain August Lönn (1837-1920) and Erika Charlotta Persdotter Jonsson (1844-19 ??). She attended Palmgrenska Comprehensive School in Stockholm and graduated from high school in 1893. From 1898 to 1905 she was married to the statistician and office director Sven Norrman and from 1906 to the linguist Hjalmar Alving. Hjalmar and Fanny Alving's daughter was the journalist Barbro Alving .

Alving made various trips through Europe, including Norway and Denmark . From 1894 to 1895 she worked in the Greek consulate in Malmö and from 1895 to 1898 in a theater and concert office. She worked for the magazine Strix and published there under the pseudonym Maja X. The pseudonym Ulrik Uhland was only used in novels, some works were also published under the name Fanny Norrman.
