Fanny Meyer (painter)

Fanny Meyer (born August 28, 1842 in Bremen ; † December 23, 1909 there ) was a German landscape painter .

Life

Meyer received her first artistic training from the painter Christian Grabau in Bremen. In 1869 she went to the landscape painter Hans Fredrik Gude , who taught at the Grand Ducal Baden Art School in Karlsruhe . In 1870 she went on her first study trip with Gude, which took her to the Salzkammergut . She made further trips to the Bavarian high mountains and Tyrol . She also stayed in Munich . From 1873 she lived again in Bremen, where she regularly took part in the art exhibitions of the art association.
