Farnersberg is a hamlet in the Heilbronn district in Baden-Württemberg , which has belonged to Beilstein since the 18th century at the latest .

geography

Farnersberg is located about six kilometers northeast of Beilstein on a flat cleared area in the Löwenstein Mountains . The clearing area surrounding the site is in turn completely surrounded by forest. The natural access to Farnersberg is from the west via the Buchenbach and Farnersberger Bach valleys. The municipal area is around 23 hectares. The place is 370  m above sea level and forms a Beilstein exclave between the markings of Untergruppenbach (districts Unterheinriet and Vorhof) in the north and the Etzlensendung forest belonging to Lauffen am Neckar in the south. There is a road connection to Unterheinriet in the north-west and to the hamlet of Etzlenswend , also belonging to Beilstein, to the south (after which the Lauffener Stadtwald Etzlensendung is named).

history

Farnersberg is a clearing settlement whose origins are in the dark. Due to the natural access from the west and due to the church affiliation, it is assumed that the place was founded from Unterheinriet. The name of the place is probably derived from the ferns that abound there.

Farnersberg originally had three farms (already mentioned in 1599), one of which was divided, so that for a long time four families lived in the village, who cultivated and raised cattle, and from the 18th century also viticulture . In 1623 Farnersberg is referred to as a hamlet that can be judged and controlled by Beilstein; in 1769 the place had 16 inhabitants. How and when the place came to Beilstein and thus to Württemberg is unknown.

The children from Farnersberg attended the school in Etzlensendung, which existed with interruptions from 1717 to 1866 at the latest, later they attended the schools in Vorhof and Unterheinriet.

When the new administrative structure was implemented in the Kingdom of Württemberg , Farnersberg was assigned to the Marbach Oberamt together with Beilstein in 1810 .

In 1924 it was connected to the electricity network, and in 1964 a water pipe followed to replace the public well.

In 1971, after the last old farmers had retired and the offspring had migrated, the entire district was leased for 25 years to the Sauer / Dietz sweet cider factory, which planted an orchard with 4,000 trees there.
