Farsta strand is an underground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Farsta district of the same name . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . It is the final stop of the T18 line on the Gröna linjen. There is a direct transfer to Stockholm Pendeltåg at the above-ground train station. The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 4,000 commuters get on here.
The station went into operation on August 29, 1971, when the section of the Tunnelbana between Farsta and Farsta strand was inaugurated. The tracks are about 5 meters deep in the tunnel. It is around 10.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
