Fatima al-Hosani played her first international competition at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , where she finished seventh in the B final with 32.36 m. The following year she was at the Arab Championships in Manama with 37.91 m sixth in the discus throw and also took part in the Youth World Championships in Cali , but was eliminated there with 38.41 m in qualification. Before that, she won the silver medal at the Asian Youth Championships in Doha with 41.80 s. In 2016 she won the silver medal at the Arab Junior Championships in Tlemcen with 39.73 m with the discus behind Libyan Salem Rijaj Sanah . Shortly afterwards she finished sixth at the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City with 41.01 m and also qualified for the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , where she was eliminated with 37.40 m in qualification.
In 2017 she took eighth place in the shot put at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku with 11.72 m and with the discus she finished the competition without a valid attempt. In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she finished eighth in the discus throw with 42.95 m.
