Fatou Lamin Faye

Fatou Lamin Faye (born February 10, 1954 ) is a politician in the West African state of Gambia . From 2004 she was Secretary of State for Education .

Life

After her school education from September 1959 to July 1972 she studied at the Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria from April 1973 to December 1974 at the College of Agriculture and obtained the degree " Ordinary National Diploma - Division 1 (Agricultural Home Economics) ". From June 1983 to December 1984 she studied at Saint Francis Xavier University in Canada , where she obtained the " Diploma In Social Development ". And from October 1987 to April 1988 she spent at the Gambia Technical Training Institute , which she awarded the City and Guilds of London Institute - Further and Adult Education Teachers' Cert. Parts 1 and 11 "completed. She was then in Great Britain , at the University of Huddersfield , from September 1996 to September 1998 and first achieved the “ Degree of Bachelor of Education (Vocational Education in Developing Countries) ” and then the “ Degree of Master of Education (Management and Vocational Education) ) ".

From January 1975 she worked in the Ministry of Agriculture until she started her own business in July 1979. In September 1980 she returned to the civil service. After many stations in her career, the trained pedagogue became director of the Gambia Technical Training Institute in 2002. On September 14, 2004, she was appointed by President Jammeh to the Cabinet of Gambia and headed the Ministry of Education as successor to Ann Therese Ndong-Jatta .
