Fatoumata Baldé (diplomat)

Fatoumata Baldé (born October 20, 1962 ) is a Guinean diplomat .

Life

She studied literature at Conakry University from 1980 to 1985 . Further training covered credit management (1991) and diplomatic law (1993).

From 1989 to 2000 she was a research fellow at the National Directory of Cooperation. In 1999 she studied project management at the Atlanta Management Institute in Atlanta , USA . Baldé then moved to the Guinean Ministry for International Cooperation in 2000, where she was head of the department for the coordination of external aid until 2006. In 2001, she studied financial resource leadership and management at the Washington International Management Institute in Washington, DC. She then served as the Department's Director of Partnership, Innovative Funding and Assistance Coordination from 2006 to 2010. In 2010 she took on the role of adviser to the President on international cooperation. In February 2014 she became Minister for International Cooperation.

On June 7, 2016, she became the Guinean ambassador to Germany . In addition, accreditations were made in Bosnia and Herzegovina , Denmark , the Holy See , Croatia , Liechtenstein , North Macedonia , Norway , Austria , Poland , Sweden and Slovenia .

In September 2018 she became an ambassador to India .

Personal

Fatoumata Baldé is married and has one daughter. She speaks English , French , Fulfulde , Maninka and Susu .
