Faustino dos Santos (born May 1, 1957 in Lautém , Portuguese Timor ), fighting name Renan Selak , is a politician from East Timor and a veteran of the independence struggle against Indonesia .

Career

Santos attended school through fourth grade. In the war of liberation against the Indonesians he fought as Secretary of Region I, for which he received the Ordem da Guerrilha in 2006 and the Ordem de Timor-Leste in 2018 .

As deputy chairman of the UNDERTIM party , he was elected to the national parliament of East Timor , and was a member of the Commission for the Eradication of Poverty, Rural and Regional Development and Gender Equality (Commission E) from 2007 to 2012. In the new elections in 2012 , UNDERTIM failed because of the three percent hurdle and was thrown out of parliament.

After the conflict within the UNDETIM Santos in 2015 moved to the newly established Partidu Libertasaun Popular (PLP) and was party spokesman in the community loud .
