Faysal Shayesteh (born June 10, 1991 in Kabul , Afghanistan ) is a Dutch- Afghan football player .

Career

In his youth Shayesteh played from 2009 to 2010 for the Dutch football club Twente Enschede , from 2010 to February 2013 he played for SC Heerenveen and from February 2013 to July 2013 for the Bulgarian first division club FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo . For the 2014 season he signed a contract with the Thai club FC Songkhla . His contract was terminated after the 2015 season. He then moved to the Malaysian first division club Pahang FA . During the winter break of the 2016/17 season he became the first Afghan player ever to move to the Persian Gulf Pro League at Paykan Tehran .

National team

On April 13, 2014, he made his debut in a friendly against the Kyrgyz national soccer team . His first international goal was a free kick against the Kuwaiti national team . He took part in the 2015 South Asian Championships as captain and finished in second place.
