The Feglitzbach is a brook in the municipality of Matrei in East Tyrol ( Lienz district ). It rises on the east side of the Lasörling group and flows west of Feld into the Isel .

The Feglitzbach rises as an outflow from two small mountain lakes east of the Defregger Riegel . A short time later, it takes up another small source stream on the left and then flows to the northeast through wooded gorges, where it takes up a short ditch on the left in the lower reaches that drains the Feglitzwiesen. The Feglitzbach falls in the lower reaches over a waterfall and finally joins the Isel west of the village Feld on the other bank of the Isel.

Shortly before the confluence with the Isel, the Feglitzbach crosses under the “Avalanche Control Feglitzbachgalerie” or Felbertauern Straße (B 108). The structure serves to protect against avalanches and rockfalls and was built between 1999 and 2000. In addition to the actual avalanche gallery, the 220-meter-long structure also included the adaptation of the stream-side retaining walls and the construction of the Feglitzbach stream above and in the area of ​​the avalanche gallery.
