The film shows people from techno culture who listen to electronic dance music and regularly visit clubs. For the most part, the film features a series of interviews and narratives with people who dedicate their lives to music, clubs, and drugs, including DJs , bouncers, bartenders, and dancers. Topics such as friendship, homosexuality and love are also addressed.

The portrait includes a total of 19 conversations, 56 nights and 13 tracks.

Production and publication

The film was made in 2006 under the direction of Maja Classen. The camera was directed by Andreas Bergmann and Sylke Rohrlach was responsible for editing. The text of the film was written by Rainald Goetz .

The film premiered on March 22, 2006 at the Babylon Cinema in Berlin. It was then shown at several film festivals, including achtung berlin - new berlin film award and the 44th Gijón International Film Festival in Spain. On November 3, 2006, the film was released on DVD under the title Celebrations by interGroove Tonträger VertriebsGmbH with a release from the age of 16.
