Felice Varini (* 1952 in Locarno ) is a Swiss visual artist . He has lived and worked in Paris since 1980 .

Varini is a painter who, like an installation artist , uses existing architecture as a background. He creates works of art both within a building and composed of several buildings. The work of art, which usually results in geometric shapes, can be viewed in its entirety from a point of view determined by him; when leaving this point, it breaks down into its fragments.

Varini's works have been shown in over 50 solo exhibitions in Europe, the USA, Asia and Australia and in numerous collective exhibitions. He designed buildings in public spaces in over 20 cities. The installation “Four Blue Circles” shown in Osnabrück in 2017 relates to the anniversary of the Reformation .

In 2000 Varini was nominated for the Prix ​​Marcel Duchamp .
