Felix Ahrens (* 1986 in Buxtehude ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Ahrens has been studying directing at the Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Film University in Potsdam since 2012 . His short film Vacuum from 2015 was awarded the title Particularly Valuable by the German Film and Media Assessment . The short film At the end of the forest was Ahrens bachelor thesis, which was created in cooperation with the MDR . It is about a young policewoman who accidentally shoots a man during a routine check on the German-Czech border.

On August 29, 2016, it was announced that Ahrens would be awarded an Oscar in the Best Foreign Feature Film category at the Student Academy Awards 2016 for his work on the film At the End of the Forest .
