Felix Leuer

Felix Leuer (born January 9, 1983 ) is a German basketball official .

Life

Leuer studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in his hometown of Münster between 2003 and 2009 . Between 2007 and 2009 he was the honorary managing director of JuWi-Fest Münster GmbH. In 2011 he passed the exams for the second state examination in law and then worked for a Düsseldorf law firm in the areas of real estate and construction law . Furthermore, Leuer is a specialist lawyer for tenancy and residential property law. He worked there until July 2015, then until December 2016 in a law firm in Bielefeld , before returning to his previous employer in Düsseldorf at the beginning of 2017. From 2016, Leuer took part in a course in sports law at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen  and the German Sport University Cologne .

On October 1, 2019, Leuer took up his position as sports director at the German Basketball Association . As a basketball player, he had played in the amateur field at TuS Hiltrup (whose basketball department he co-founded), TG Düsseldorf and TSVE Bielefeld in the previous course of his life . In 2017, Leuer, who measures 2.03 meters, also became an assessor in the legal committee of the West German Basketball Association .
