Felix Mayer-Felice
Konrad Felix Mayer-Felice (born April 17, 1876 in Schübelsberg near Nuremberg , † May 14, 1929 in Nuremberg) was a German portrait painter.
From 1891 to 1895 Mayer-Felice was a student at the Nuremberg School of Applied Arts with Carl Fleischmann , Karl Hammer and Heinrich Heim . Since October 28, 1895 he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich in the nature class with Nikolaus Gysis . He then went on study trips to Rome and Paris .
He then worked as a portrait painter in Nuremberg. He portrayed a. a. the members of the Bavarian royal house in Munich and the clergy in Augsburg, Bamberg and Würzburg. Between 1902 and 1929 he created around 800 portraits. Mayer-Felice painted in oils, pastels and charcoal.
Mayer-Felice had been a member of the artists' association since 1903 , of the Nuremberg Art Cooperative since 1924 and of the Free Secession since 1928 .
When he enrolled in Munich, he gave New York as his place of origin.
