Felix Ruml (born April 26, 1993 in Munich ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . He was most recently under contract with SpVgg Unterhaching .

Career

Felix Ruml comes from the offspring of FC Bayern Munich , for whom he first played in the U-17 Bundesliga until 2011 and later in the U-19 Bundesliga . His first station in the senior sector was FT Starnberg 09, which he left after half a year. In the summer of 2012 he joined TSV 1860 Munich , where he was a member of the U-23 squad in the Bavarian regional league . He moved to Wacker Burghausen in 2013 and was also active there for the second team that played in the Bayern League. After a year as their regular goalkeeper, the third division team SpVgg Unterhaching signed him in the summer of 2014 to replace regular goalkeeper Michael Zetterer . He made his professional debut on September 27, 2014 in the home game against VfL Osnabrück , when Zetterer was expelled from the field in the 73rd minute because of an emergency brake. Ruml was substituted on for field player Sascha Bigalke and could not fend off Nicolas Feldhahn's subsequent penalty . Ultimately, Unterhaching lost the game 3: 4. During Zetterer's suspension that followed, two more missions followed. Once Ruml stood in for the goalkeeper because of a flu-like infection.

After Zetterer moved to Werder Bremen during the winter break , Stefan Marinovic was initially given preference in the goalkeeping position. On the 31st match day, this time in the away game against VfL Osnabrück, Ruml returned to goal after Marinovic was injured in a foul and had to be substituted after six minutes. In the following five games he stayed in the starting lineup. This was also planned for the game against Preußen Münster on the penultimate match day , but on the way to the stadium Ruml got caught in a traffic jam and arrived late for the meeting. Then coach Claus Schromm took him out of the squad for disciplinary reasons and replaced him with the A-youth Yannik Oettl . In the final game at Rot-Weiß Erfurt , which Unterhaching lost 0-1, which sealed relegation from the 3rd division, Ruml sat on the bench; Oettl played again from the beginning.
