Michael Zetterer (born July 12, 1995 in Munich ) is a German soccer player . The goalkeeper is on loan from Werder Bremen to PEC Zwolle .

Career

society

Zetterer switched from DJK Darching to SpVgg Unterhaching in 2006 . There he was used in the youth teams until 2012. From the 2012/13 season he also played in the Unterhachinger reserve team . In December 2012 he signed a professional contract that ran from 2013 to 2016. On March 2, 2013, he sat for the first time on the bench in Upper Bavaria, but was not used. A year later he was able to celebrate his third division debut in the 2-4 defeat against Halleschen FC . In the further course of the 2013/14 season, he managed to oust Korbinian Müller from the Unterhachinger goal and become a regular goalkeeper.

Zetterer moved to Werder Bremen for the second half of the 2014/15 season . There he first played for the second team, with whom he rose to the third division at the end of the 2015 season as champions of the Regionalliga Nord. In January 2016 he suffered a scaphoid fracture on his left hand during training camp and could only be returned to the field on the fifth day of the following season . He has not yet played in the Werder Bremen Bundesliga team. Nevertheless, he has already received two yellow cards because he complained from the bench (in December 2015 against Eintracht Frankfurt and in September 2017 against Hamburger SV ). In November 2017, another surgery on the left wrist was necessary.

After he had not played since May 2017, the recovered Zetterer was not given a chance to play with the Bremen second team, which was relegated to the regional league for the 2018/19 season . During the winter break, he stayed fit with the third division club Würzburger Kickers as part of a trial training session with the option of being taken over together with the other test players Eric Verstappen and Niklas Zulciak .

In February 2019, the goalkeeper was awarded to the Austrian second division promoted SK Austria Klagenfurt after his contract was extended until 2020 . With the club he held the class and played in 14 league games. For the table eight the German held four times to zero.

For the 2019/20 season , the goalkeeper was awarded to the honorary divisionist PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands for two years . His contract in Bremen had previously been renewed. In Zwolle, the German was able to oust regular goalkeeper Xavier Mous from matchday 14 .

National team

He made his debut in the U21 national team on November 15, 2016 in the 1-0 defeat by Poland in Tychy .
