Ulrich Hundt

Ulrich A. Hundt (born June 23, 1937 in Swinoujscie ; † March 9, 2018 in Bonn ) was a German flotilla admiral .

Life

Hundt stepped graduation 1957 Ingelheim as officer candidates in the Department IV / 57 of the Navy and was Naval Air (helicopter pilot and flight instructor). In 1964 he was seriously injured in a helicopter crash on a test flight and later partially amputated his leg.

In 1965 he completed the staff officer course (SOL) at the command academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw). He was then u. a. Advisor for press and public relations in the naval command staff (Fü M). Hundt completed the Admiralty Staff Officer Course at the Royal Naval Staff College in Greenwich in 1970 . In 1976 he became the commander of the flying group of Marinefliegergeschwaders 5 (MFG 5) in Kiel. From 1983 to 1987 he was spokesman and head of the press and information staff of the Federal Ministry of Defense . From 1987 to 1994 he was in command of the Inner Guidance Center (ZInFü) in Koblenz.

In 1994 he was retired and became General Manager of the German Armed Forces Association (DBwV) for European affairs. From 1995 and 2002 he was Secretary General of the European Organization of Military Associations ( EUROMIL ). From 1994 to 1998 he was a member of the 9th Inner Leadership Advisory Board . In 2006 he was a co-founder and first chairman of the “Freundeskreis Zentrum Innereführung”.
