Denis Genreau

Denis Genreau (born May 21, 1999 in Paris , France ) is an Australian football player of French origin. The attacking midfielder is under contract with Melbourne City FC and is an Australian junior international.

Genreau's parents honeymooned in Australia in the 1990s . After returning to France, Denis was born in Paris on May 21, 1999; the family later went back to Australia.

Career

Denis Genreau began his professional career at Melbourne City FC (until 2016 Melbourne Heart ), for whom he played in the A-League for the first time on December 27, 2016 , when he beat Perth Glory in the 80th minute in a 3-3 draw came on for Anthony Cáceres . Genreau came to four missions during the season; in the Final Series , for which Melbourne City FC had qualified fourth and was eliminated there in the elimination finals against Perth Glory, he was not used. After the loan expired, Genreau returned to Melbourne FC, where he is in midfield competing with Joshua Brillante , Connor Metcalfe , Adrián Luna , Florin Berenguer and Rostyn Griffiths .

National team

Denis Genreau plays for the Australian U23 . On October 15, 2018, he was part of the Australian senior team for the first time in the 4-0 win in the friendly against Kuwait , but was not used.
