Adrián Luna , full name Adrián Nicolás Luna Retamar , (born April 12, 1992 in Tacuarembó ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Depending on the sources, Luna, who is 1.67 meters or 1.69 meters tall and called Fuyi , played in his youth at least in the U-15 at Club Atlético Progreso, which is based in his hometown . With this team trained by Heber "Nenito" Colmán, he won the U-15 championship in Tacuarembó in 2007 without losing points. Luna was then active at Defensor Sporting at least from 2009 . With the violets he was at least since the Clausura 2010 in the first division squad and was used in this half series in twelve games (no goal). In the following season he met four times in 24 missions. He also ran in two games of the Liguilla Pre Libertadores 2009 and in six games of the Copa Sudamericana . In international competition he scored two goals. In May 2011 he signed a five-year contract with Espanyol Barcelona in Spain, as did his compatriot Juan Angel Albín , who was joining from Getafe . In August of the same year he joined Gimnàstic de Tarragona on loan for a year. In the 2011/12 season he completed 18 games (two goals) in the Segunda División . In the same season he joined the league competitor CE Sabadell in January 2012 , to whom he was also on loan, and was used there in twelve games. In contrast to other statistics, his club also shows a goal for him here. For the 2012/13 season he returned to Uruguay on another loan and joined Nacional Montevideo . There are in the season that his team finished third in the table, 20 completed games in the Primera División and two appearances in the Copa Libertadores recorded. However, the Montevideans showed no interest in another loan deal. Also in the new season he should be loaned to another club by Barcelona. On September 2, 2013 Espanyol Barcelona announced the termination of their contract with Luna. On September 17, 2013 it was announced that Luna was joining his former club Defensor Sporting. He was also used seven times (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2014 , in which Defensor was only eliminated in the semi-finals. In the 2014/15 season he was used in 28 first division games (seven goals). This was followed by two completed first division games (one goal) in Apertura 2015 and one game (no goal) in Copa Sudamericana 2015 . At the beginning of September 2015, however, he already moved to CD Veracruz in Mexico and was immediately loaned to Venados FC . For this he played 23 league matches (five goals) in Primera A and was used three times (no goal) in the Copa México . At the beginning of June 2016 he returned to the CD Veracruz. So far (as of August 26, 2017) he has played 33 first division games (four goals), six encounters (one goal) in the national cup and one game (no goal) in the Supercopa MX .

National team

Luna was a member of the Uruguayan U-17 and U-20 selection . In 2009 he was part of both the U-17 South American Championship and the U-17 World Championship in 2009 . During the World Cup tournament, he played four games and scored one goal. The U-20 also took part in the 2011 U-20 South American Championship in Peru and the 2011 U-20 World Cup in Colombia . At the South American Championship he ran in nine games. His goals account showed three hits. In the course of the World Cup tournament he was used twice and scored one goal.
