Uerikondjera Veondjavi Kasaona (born May 13, 1987 in Sesfontein , South West Africa ) is a former Namibian soccer player and has been the national coach of the Namibian women's national soccer team since July 2019 .

Life

Kasaona grew up in the Kunene region and attended Putuavanga Senior Secondary School in Opuwo . She then studied English on a teaching basis at the renowned Windhoek College of Education . Then she got an eighteen month internship in 2011 as part of an exchange program between Germany and Namibia at the Gertrude School in Rheine .

Club career

Kasaona started her career with the Okahandja Beauties, with whom she was multiple masters. In autumn 2011 she left Namibia and went to Germany, where she first played for regional league team Germania Hauenhorst from January 2012 and for TSG Wilhelmsfeld from January 2012. After completing her internship in Rheine in the summer of 2012, she returned to Namibia and has since played for 21 Brigade United.

National team

Kasaona has been part of the senior national team in her home country Namibia since 2007 . In 2010 she was elected chairwoman of the team council and has been team captain ever since . She has been the national coach since mid-2019.
