Korbinian Müller (born February 6, 1991 in Bad Tölz ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Korbinian Müller comes from Jachenau and started playing football at Lenggrieser SC. From defender in the F-youth he became a goalkeeper and in the C-youth he was discovered for the district selection. Then the youth department of the SpVgg Unterhaching brought him into the club. With the B-youth he reached the championship in the junior Bavarian league.

After his youth he was transferred to the U-23 in 2010, where he played in the Bayern League. In the following year he moved up as number 2 in the first team after the club split from goalkeeper Darius Kampa . When number 1 Stefan Riederer had to leave the pitch after a collision on matchday 18 , Müller made his first professional appearance in the third division. In the 2013/14 season he was the goalkeeper of Hachinger. In 2014 he moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers , where he was a regular goalkeeper in the 2014/15 season and played 35 of 38 league games. In the following season, Müller only made seven appearances in the third division.

For the 2016/17 season, Müller returned to SpVgg Unterhaching , who are now playing in the Bayern Regionalliga . There he played only seven missions behind regular goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic and had a rather small share in Unterhaching's return to the third division. After Marinovic decided in the summer of 2017 not to extend his expiring contract, Müller was declared number one again by coach Claus Schromm .

On August 22, 2018, Müller moved to FC St. Pauli . His contract ran until the end of June 2019 and included an option for two more years. On May 12, 2019, Müller was bid farewell during the last home game against VfL Bochum . During his time at St. Pauli, Müller started studying fitness economics. After the end of the 2018/19 season, he prematurely ended his active career in favor of his studies.

Müller returned to FC St. Pauli at the beginning of October 2019 after his substitute goalkeeper Svend Brodersen was injured. He received a contract until the end of the 2019/20 season . On the 34th matchday he came to his only season use. Subsequently, Müller left the club when his contract ended.
