Svend Arvid Stanislaw Brodersen (born March 22, 1997 in Hamburg ) is a German football goalkeeper . He has played for FC St. Pauli since his youth .

Career

society

Born in Hamburg, Brodersen started playing football at FC St. Pauli at the age of four . The goalkeeper received football training there and at Eimsbütteler TV .

As a 17-year-old, he was in the first team's matchday squad for the first time in April 2014, but without being used. For the 2014/15 regional league season, Brodersen moved up into the squad of the second team and became a regular goalkeeper the following season. At the same time, he was firmly integrated into the second division professional squad by then head coach Ewald Lienen .

For the first team, after receiving a professional contract valid until 2021, he stood for the first time on matchday 21 of the second division season 2018/19 as a replacement for the injured Robin Himmelmann in a competitive game between the posts; St. Pauli lost 4-1 in Cologne despite the strong performance of their goalkeeper .

National team

Brodersen played all three group games at the 2017 U20 World Cup in South Korea; the team then lost in the round of 16 of the U20 Zambia . For the German U21s he played half-time in a 3-0 win in a friendly against the U21s of the Netherlands in November 2018.

Personal

In a difficult financial situation for FC St. Pauli, Brodersen's father bought lifelong season tickets for himself and his son. In 2015 Svend successfully passed his high school diploma exams.
