Career

society

Bednarczyk began playing club football in the youth of SV 09 in Bergisch Gladbach and moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen's youth in 2011 . There he played, among other things, as a full-back and offensively on the wings, which gave him experience in several positions. At the age of 15 he joined the U17 team and won the German B-Junior Championship with them in the 2015/16 season . He scored six goals in 19 games, including the 2-0 final in the final against Borussia Dortmund . He then moved up to the U19, where he gained international experience in the UEFA Youth League , when he played in all six games and was also successful as a goalscorer in the home game against Tottenham Hotspur . However, the team did not survive the preliminary round and in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga West he and his teammates just failed to make it into the finals of the German A-Junior Championship . Bednarczyk scored 12 goals in 26 league games. Another year followed in the U19, which ended with a sixth place in the league.

For the 2018/19 season , at the age of 19, he was accepted into the squad of the professional team. He was used in the pre-season against lower-class opponents. His only competitive game was when he came on for Wendell in the 81st minute of the game in the 81st minute of the game in the 5-1 away win against AEK Larnaka in the group stage of the Europa League on December 13, 2018 .

On January 22, 2019, Bednarczyk moved to the second division club FC St. Pauli , where he received a contract with a term until June 30, 2021 and the option to extend it until mid-2022; he was also included in the first team squad with the signing of the contract. At the same time, the club announced that Bednarczyk would train in the club's second team until at least the end of March 2019 and then include him in the first team's training. He made his debut for the second team on February 24, 2019 in the home game against Lupo Martini Wolfsburg on the starting line-up. In the 2-0 victory of his team, he scored the final score in the 55th minute of the game.

National team

Bednarczyk made his first appearance for a selection of the Polish Association in April 2015 for the U16 national team as part of a junior tournament in Israel . For the U17 selection , he played two games in March 2016 as part of the ultimately unsuccessful qualification for the U17 European Championship ; Poland failed here because of Serbia . This was followed by five games for the U18s between 2016 and 2017 and two appearances for the U19s in March 2018 at the qualifying tournament for the U19 European Championship in Finland , in which qualifying hosts Italy prevailed. Since September 2018 he has been part of the U20 national team , for which he has scored two goals so far.

At the U20 World Cup 2019 he took part with Poland as host. Bednarczyk was used in all four games of his team, only in the first group game he was not in the starting lineup. In the second group game he scored the opening goal in a 5-0 win over Tahiti. Poland finally eliminated in the round of 16 against Italy .
