Maximilian Franzke (born March 5, 1999 in Munich ) is a German soccer player . The winger is under contract with FC St. Pauli .
Career
Franzke comes from Munich and was trained in football at TSV 1860 in his early days . At the age of eleven, he moved to the city rivals FC Bayern Munich at their junior campus .
The season 2016/17 closed Franzke from the A-youth of Bayern as a master of Südstaffel and subsequent finalists for the German championship, but where on penalties to Borussia Dortmund were beaten. The offensive player was able to gain his first international experience in the UEFA Youth League , but was eliminated with the Munich team in the group stage. He missed half of the following season due to a hip injury, but made his first short appearance for the regional league team in a 1-1 draw against Greuther Fürth . In the league, however, the relay championship was lost to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on the last day of the match .
From summer 2018, Franzke was permanently integrated into the Bayern amateurs squad under his former youth coach Holger Seitz and only played four times in the Youth League for the U19s. At the same time, he was allowed to regularly participate in the training of the first team and also play for them in preparation games. During the winter break, his contract was extended to June 2021. In 25 regional league games, the offensive player scored three goals and prepared six goals and was Bayern champion with the team in spring 2019 . In the subsequent promotion games, Franzke was able to prevail with FC Bayern II against VfL Wolfsburg II and celebrate his return to the third division .
After Franzke only made a brief assignment in the 3rd division until the winter break, he moved to FC St. Pauli on January 21, 2020 . He signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2022 and is on the squad of the second team that plays in the Regionalliga Nord . Until the season was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic , Franzke had played two fourth division games, and on matchday 29 of the resumed second division season he also played for the professionals for the first time at the end of May 2020. Franzke ended the season with two regional league and five second division appearances.
