Luca-Milan Zander (born August 9, 1995 in Weyhe ) is a German football player . The right defender is under contract with the second division club FC St. Pauli .

Career

societies

Zander began his career in 2000 at SC Weyhe and joined the Werder Bremen youth team in 2006 . For his second team , he was used from November 2013 in the Regionalliga Nord . He finished the 2014/15 season with the team in first place and rose to the 3rd division after successful playoffs .

From April 2014, Zander was also part of the first team. On September 26, 2015, he made his Bundesliga debut in the 3-0 home defeat against Bayer 04 Leverkusen , after being substituted on for Levin Öztunali in the 56th minute .

For the 2017/18 season , Zander initially moved to second division FC St. Pauli for two years . Under the head coaches Olaf Janßen and Markus Kauczinski , he made 18 appearances in the second division without scoring his own. In the 2018/19 season , 12 league appearances followed by mid-March. As a result, Zander dropped out due to a shoulder injury and was not used until the end of the season under the new head coach Jos Luhukay . For the 2019/20 season , FC St. Pauli finally also acquired the transfer rights to Zander and provided him with a contract that runs until June 30, 2023.

National team

Zander completed one game each for the U15 national team and the U17 selection of the German Football Association . In October 2015, he played twice for the U20 national team in friendly matches against Turkey and England .
