The Gamser Spitze ( Italian Cima dei Camosci ) is a 2155 m slm high mountain peak in the south of the Sarntal Alps . While it drops to the west, northwest and south in steep porphyry walls into the Sarntal , its eastern flank is much gentler. Here the terrain runs out over the Schartalm into the Tanzbachtal , a side valley of the Sarntal. The ridge to which the Sarner Scharte ( 2458 m ) and the Villanderer Berg ( 2509 m ) also belong runs along the edge of the rock .
The summit, which can be easily recognized by the summit cross , can be easily climbed from both the Sarntal and the Eisack valley . From Riedelsberg in Sarntal or from the Gasteiger Sattel , which is easy to reach from the parking lot at the Gasserhütte, follow path no.3 to the 2381 m high Schartl and then descend on path no.19 to an unmarked path that you can follow finally follows west to the summit cross.
