Felix Victor Birch-Hirschfeld (born May 2, 1842 in Cluvensieck near Rendsburg, † November 19, 1899 in Leipzig ) was a German medic .

Birch-Hirschfeld studied at the University of Leipzig , a. a. with Carl Reinhold August Wunderlich and Ernst Leberecht Wagner . In 1885 he became the successor to Julius Friedrich Cohnheim at the chair for pathological anatomy in Leipzig.

He made significant contributions in the field of bacteriology, with tuberculosis being his specialty. As a representative of Leipzig University, he was a member of the First Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament from 1891 to 1900 .

Birch-Hirschfeld first became a member of the Masonic lodge Ferdinand zum Felsen in Hamburg, and later the lodge Zum golden Apfel in Dresden, of which he was temporarily the master of the chair .

He was the brother of the Romanist Adolf Birch-Hirschfeld (1849–1917). His son Arthur Birch-Hirschfeld (1871-1945) was professor of ophthalmology in Königsberg. The diocesan archivist for the Diocese of Warmia, Dr Anneliese Triller (1903–1998) was his granddaughter.
