Anneliese Triller
Anneliese Klara Triller , maiden name Birch-Hirschfeld (born August 11, 1903 in Leipzig , † April 15, 1998 in Bonn ) was a German historian and archivist .
Life
Anneliese Birch-Hirschfeld was born in 1903 as the daughter of the ophthalmologist Professor Arthur Birch-Hirschfeld and his wife Anna (1873–1948), née Hoeller. Her paternal grandfather was the pathologist Felix Victor Birch-Hirschfeld . In 1915 the father accepted the call from Albertus University to the chair of ophthalmology , and the family moved to Königsberg . The daughter first attended the local Königin-Luise-Schule and studied history, Latin, Romance languages and German studies in Leipzig, Bonn and Königsberg. In 1924, converted them to Catholicism, was formed in 1931/32 in Berlin-Dahlem for archivist continues, conducted research on the history of the diocese of Warmia and was 1931 in Königsberg with the thesis history of collegiate in Guttstadt 1341-1811 for doctor of philosophy doctorate. She then completed a six-month internship in Königsberg and was employed by the Prussian State Archives in Königsberg . In October 1933, Bishop Maximilian Kaller appointed her head of the diocesan archive in Frombork . She was the first woman in the position of diocesan archivist. In October 1941 she married the Slavist Alfons Triller (1904–1986). The couple had the family name "Triller" and had four children.
In the course of the flight and expulsion of Germans from Central and Eastern Europe in 1945 , the Triller family left the Warmia and after a few stops in Königstein / Taunus, Beienrode near Königsluther, arrived in Bonn . After the end of the war, she was employed by the Historical Commission for East and West Prussian State Research , headed by Bernhard Stasiewski , and worked on the Prussian Yearbook . From 1930 she was a member of the Historical Association for Warmia , from 1956 to 1989 its deputy chairwoman and after 1967 honorary chairman . The core of their work was to elaborate and present the history and culture of Warmia and the church history of East and West Prussia . In recognition of her achievements and merits, she was awarded the Order of Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice in 1979 . Anneliese Triller also dealt with genealogy and personalities from West Prussia and Warmia.
