The Felsenmeer nature reserve (NSG) is located in the city of Pforzheim in Baden-Württemberg .
The 5.6 hectare area is located southeast of the Pforzheim urban area in the Hagenschieß urban forest near the L 572 towards Würm .
On a south-facing red sandstone hillside location, the essential protective purpose of the reserve is to preserve the block -rich surface shape. A near-natural development of the beech, oak and fir forest in the upper sub-area is also to be ensured.
The NSG Felsenmeer is directly adjacent to the NSG Unteres Würmtal to the south and is otherwise surrounded by the landscape protection area for the Pforzheim district . Most of the area is not only a nature reserve, but also as Schonwald protected. Furthermore, the NSG is largely located in an FFH area and in the Black Forest Central / North Nature Park .
The Felsenmeer is registered as a geotope under the name Felsenmeer in the Hagenschieß area, Pforzheim .
