The FERCAM AG is an international transport - and logistics - companies owned by the family, based in Bolzano ( South Tyrol ), the total of 63 branches in Italy , 22 branches in the rest of Europe includes and two branches in North Africa, including a branch in Morocco and one in Tunisia as well as 2 branches in Turkey (Istanbul and Izmir).

history

The company was founded in Bolzano in 1949 for the delivery of wagons by Luigi Spagnolli Senior, Bruno Perina and Ottorino Fanini and for this reason derives its name from FERrovie (Italian for railway ) and CAMion ( truck ). At that time, the transport of goods in carriages was also part of the company's purpose. In 1955, the focus was on road transport, which was initially limited to the Italian road network. In 1963 Eduard Baumgartner took over the company, expanded it continuously from 1965 and geared it towards the international transport of goods. In 1982 the first foreign branch was opened in Munich . Numerous takeovers followed, including that of the traditional freight forwarding company Gondrand in 1986, the incorporation of which in 1993 enabled the company to enter the groupage and distribution logistics sectors. In 2005 FERCAM finally gained a foothold in air and sea freight. In 2007 FERCAM AG opened a branch in Tangier, Morocco, and thus the company's first branch outside Europe, followed by the second in Tunisia in 2012. With the incorporation of removals, art and trade fairs from Gondrand, FERCAM has covered all areas of activity in the transport and logistics sector since 2013.
