Ferdinand Goswin Anton von Boeselager (born August 13, 1746 in Eggermühlen ; † September 21, 1810 there ) was canon and cathedral cantor in Osnabrück.

Life

Origin and family

Ferdinand Goswin Anton von Boeselager, the son of Kaspar Heinrich von Boeselager zu Eggermühlen and his wife Maria Agnes Francisca von Weichs zur Wenne, came from the noble family von Boeselager , which had its origins in the Archbishopric of Magdeburg . Ferdinand's uncle Friedrich Wilhelm (1713–1782) was provost of the cathedral in Münster.

Act

After studying at the University of Reims from 1765 to 1766, Ferdinand received a cathedral praise in Osnabrück after his brother Kaspar Friedrich had renounced . His uncle Friedrich Christoph von Boeselager awarded him in his capacity as Turnar in 1775 a Münstersche Dompräbende . In Osnabrück he was appointed cathedral sexton in 1791 and cathedral cantor in 1799. A year later he became chief hunter here . Ferdinand Goswin played a not insignificant role for the Osnabrück prince-bishop during the reign of the cathedral chapter . In Münster he was appointed cathedral capitular deputy to the Landpfennigkammer in 1799 . Ferdinand Goswin was a subdeacon and owned the Stotbrock Oblegium and Greving Obedience .
